Case Study: Layla Sleep

We began supporting Layla Sleep, a fast-growth mattress and sleep technology company, by developing an onboarding program for new employees. 

It soon became apparent that as quickly as things were changing at Layla, a traditional approach to employee training was not enough. 

Continuous learning capabilities were needed to effectively adapt to not only changes associated with a rapid-growth company, but changes within an industry that was quickly moving away from brick-and-mortar outlets to shipping mattresses in boxes to customers’ front doors. 

To support these new capabilities, we developed a blended learning program that integrated:

  • self-paced online modules focused on developing a continuous learning mindset and creating personal development plans
  • 1-1 coaching supporting individuals to reflect on evolving roles, set personal development and career goals, and articulate needed sources of support
  • team workshops focused on developing key capabilities for collaborating and learning together as a group

The program helped Layla sustain their growth and scale their team to meet their customers growing demands.
